Equally Yoked Sacramento offers over 30 events every month! There are hundreds of pre-screened Christian singles involved throughout the area, and there has been over 300 couples married over the last 10 years!
"Isn't Equally Yoked just another dating service?" No! EY is more of a Social Club for singles than a matching or dating service. We believe that the decision to marry, or whom you marry, is ultimately between you and the Lord. He is the true matchmaker. EY only provides opportunities to meet more men and women with similar life values. EY believes in a Christian community. One-on-one activities can be a very uncomfortable and intimidating way to meet new friends or explore a potential relationship. EY offers it's members the option of giving and receiving invitations in a safe and confidential way, while providing accountability and support.
"What do you mean EY is more of a Social Club?" EY meets the needs of single Christians in three very real ways. The primary way is by sponsoring over 40 organized social clubs that offer a wide variety of activities from hiking, skiing, camping, going to movies, dinner, dancing, golf, tennis, cruises, Bible studies etc. Developing Christ centered friendships meets one of the greatest needs and lays a foundation of support. "Is EY a ministry or a business?" Well, the answer is yes to both. We believe that any person or organization that meets the needs of the Body of Christ, in a way that gives glory to God, is a ministry. EY is not affiliated or funded by any denomination or specific church. EY is also a business, which provides the financial means to pay the staff, pay the rent, pay for advertising, pay taxes, pay for the technical support and provides for the ongoing member privileges and services. EY offers different membership and payment options. We need to meet with you personally to figure out which package will best fulfill your needs as well as work with your budget.
 | | "How do I know that everyone involved is a Christian?" Before anyone is approved as a member, they are asked to describe their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We also ask each member to sign a Statement of Faith that outlines the basis of his or her Christian beliefs. We then, in confidence, ask for spiritual references that are contacted to verify the member's commitment to living according to Biblical principles. This is to assure that everyone is truly on the same page spiritually. Scripture outlines the importance of this principle in 2 Corinthians 6:14 which is the foundation of EY's mission.
"I have experienced painful relationships in the past and I am not sure I want to risk again. What can I do to overcome my fears?" That is the best question yet. EY encourages personal and spiritual growth by providing Biblical relationship workshops, seminars and classes established by Pastors, Christian Counselors and Psychologists. The classes are available as part of the membership privileges and provides a great place to meet others who also want to grow spiritually and experience healthy, Godly relationships.
"Do I have to live in Sacramento to participate in the social events?" No. Many of the events are in different geographic areas including Lodi, Stockton, Modesto, Davis, Yuba City, Chico, Grass Valley, Placerville, South Lake Tahoe, etc. Please contact us for more specific information on the membership areas we serve.
"Everything sounds good so far, but I still have questions before I make a decision. What's next?"
